Sankt Hans – for the Whole Family!

Join us for a wonderful Sankt Hans celebration with a large bonfire, Danish æbleskiver and warm mulled wine – and of course snobrød (bread baked on a stick) once the biggest flames have died down and we gather cozily around the fire to keep warm.

The Danish Church is delighted to once again invite you to a Sankt Hans evening - about an hour outside of Sydney!

We begin in the afternoon with æbleskiver and mulled wine when we meet around 4:00 pm, and as darkness falls there will be a bonfire speech. Once the bonfire is lit, we sing the traditional Midsummer Song (Midsommervisen).
And when the witch has flown off to Bloksbjerg, it’s time to enjoy your BYO Picnic, drinks and make snobrød over the fire.

Prices include mulled wine, æbleskiver, bonfire and snobrød -  for members of the Danish Church:
Adult: $15 · Child: $10 · Family: $50

What to bring:
BYO picnic and drinks, a stick for snobrød, and possibly picnic chairs or a blanket. Please remember warm clothing, as it gets cool after sunset.
